Preparing the ground for the educational supervisors report
The first deanery panel is coming up for Februay PR finishers, yet there is little published about the content or process of the educational supervisors interview. My thoughts are here.

I haven't had a GPR as yet, having moved practices at the end of BTC in order to build up the current practice to training standards. I was asked to take on a STC1 from a neighbouring area as they didn't have enough Educational Supervisors. I have yet to perform the six monthly review as I've been unable to get the ST1 to come see me. My feeling on talking with others is this is quite common, yet your comments - especially the FAQs - seem to imply this should be fairly straightforward.
Has anyone come across any specific pitfalls in these meetings?
For me, this is straightforward. It is the GPRs responsibility to organise the educational supervisors interview. If they don't then their eportfolio is not complete and they come up for a panel review, potentially being removed from the scheme, unless they have a very good reason why it has not occurred. Of course, the scheme needs to make the system explicit. The educational supervisor can flag up a panel review on the educational supervisor report page of the GPRs eportfolio.
